Innocent But Incompetent.

An interim report has cleared Kofi Annan of any wrongdoing in the UN's Oil for Food program. The inquiry did reveal, however, that Annan's own investigation was inadequate and poorly managed. I wonder why Kofi would have led such a poor investigation? I doubt that his son's involvement would have had any impact... Nah, that would make Kofi a scoundrel.

It's heartbreaking to see such corruption within the UN, the supposed watchdog for the world.

Corruption is the way of the world. People are to selfish and self centered for the world to not have corruption. Just look at our election system. Corps buy both sides with campaign donations(one more than the other). These companies would not give money if it did not get results.

anonymous: Corruption has become *a* way in this world. It is not *the* way. What is needed are more disciplined, honest men and women to take power. Remember, with great power comes great responsibility.

Unfortunately, honest men and women have little chance to compete the corrupt... Sad but true.
As for UN, well I think that this organization has it's days numbered.
