A Window Into My PDA.

I missed a critical meeting this week and decided to buy a PDA. Yes, I feel like a dumbass for having one. I always promised myself I'd never get one. So I'm a hypocrite -- sue me. Man, they are so damn convenient. I got a super deal on it, so I don't feel so bad about buying it.

I was on such a high last night. This lil' gadget was exactly what I needed. Then I tried to sync it up with my computer. Guess what? Turns out that Windows XP has issues with my new baby. It looks like I'll have to do some major tinkering with my Windows Registry just to get this thing going.

This is why I use Linux at work. Microsoft is such a horrid organization. Their products are such crap... Oh well, there goes my PDA high.

Congatulations! You will enjoy your new Palm (I have the Tungsten E). I'm surprised that you are having problems syching with XP though.

Dammit! Congratulations with an 'r' and syncing with an 'n'...that still doesn't look right. Oh well, you know what I mean.

Sorry about the syncing issues. I think there's some decent PDA software for linux as well. :)

Cool! I've always wanted one but I have mixed ideas about it. I like my little slim paper calendar that I keep in my purse, but the biggest problem for me is that I have contacts both on my computer at work and at home. Darnit! Look forward to hearing how you like it.

Damn, you're getting old when you need a pda. You know they say that memory is the first thing to go.

Anybody remember the second?

Sweet! I just recently got a cell phone--I promised myself I'd never get one of those. We've moved into the 90's, I think,. ;-)

Nothing screams "nerd" quite like a PDA.

Anonymous (the cool one): I love science, comic books and my PDA. I will wear my nerd badge with pride. Thanks for visiting, Fonzi.

I like PDAs but knew that I'd never buy one for myself because I'm too random to ever be contained like that. I wound up borrowing my father's 3 years ago (the only time it was ever used) and I think I'll wait until they come out with a microchip for my skull. I'm still thinking of setting up my second computer as a Linux machine at home. I just don't know if I'm up for an experiment like that yet.

Windows XP has problems with everything!! I don't like XP but I'm running it. Boo! I use my cell for everything! I use the crap outta the calendar and reminders, to do list, and now I can read blogs. Oh no! I can do virtually anything net based and it's really small and it's not even a damn Sidekick!

Cool. My PDA has made things a little more convenient. But, they are kind of like a leash.

Is there any reason to get Longhorn when Microsoft decides to release it? It's all just flash being added to the OS and it's nothing new, they're copying right out of Apple.

Have you ever been to the Microsoft campus. It's amazing. It is streched over a few mles, and there must be at least 100 buildings.

When I went there, it got me thinking, Wow, how many buildings do you need to make a shitty piece of software?

Also, I don't mind rap, if the rapper has something to say. Artists like Public Enemy and Kanye West are fine in my book
