I'm Going to Expensiveland!

I spent the day yesterday with my brother. We haven't spent a day together, alone, in 5 years. We went to Disneyland. I know, I know, but I'm on vacation and trying to recapture whatever is left of my childhood. Here's some questions for you:

1) Guess how much a day pass costs into Disneyland?
2) Guess how much a damn pretzel costs at Disneyland?
3) Why do professional athletes get paid so much?
4) Guess how many rides were broken at Disneyland?
5) Guess how much water I swallowed from the Pirates of Caribbean ride?
6) Considering your answer to number 5, when will I die of dysentery?
7) Why is tinkerbell so hot?
8) Did I have the time of my life?

Gather your answers. Solutions are posted in the comments section.

1) $68.00 (!)
2) $6.00 (!)
3) C'mon this is a no brainer -- because they're selfish. You thought I'd say, so that they can "go to Disneyland." You underestimate me.
4) 3/5 major roller coasters went down. Yeah, that's $68.00 well spent. If they're gonna charge that much, the least they could do is keep the rides in good shape.
5) About 3 tablespoons. I kid you not. I drank down a bunch up it accidentally on the first plunge the ride takes. It tasted like anarchy.
6) I think I'm starting to get the runs now. Sphincter strength, don't fail me now!
7) Maybe it's the Pirates of the Caribbean water talking, but she's legitimately hot. Maybe it's the fairy dust, I dunno.
8) I spent the day with my brother. Of course I had the time of my life.

By the way, I had terrible gas on It's a Small World. The entire boat was flooded by my stench. I couldn't help but burst out laughing 3 times as a result. Everybody on that little boat hated me, I hadn't laughed that hard in years.

Hey, as bad as Disney is morally, they sure know how to build an amusement park. I'm glad you had fun, vavoom.

My guesses, for what they are worth.

1. $75.00 for an adult

2. $6.50, that does not include salt

3. because we are dumb enough to think they deserve that much as opposed to our teachers, fire fighters, police, paramedics… boy I can go on and on about that one.

4. 3 rides

5. 3 liters, enough to almost vomit your 6.50 pretzel

6. hmm.. have mysquitoes breed yet?

7. Cause she was modled after Marilyn Monroe!

8. Eh, time of the week maybe.

Mickey Mouse is greedy is about all I can say. I am going there next month and I can't wait to spend $68 for admission.

Dear Vavoom,
thanks for visiting my blog. If you go to Tokyo, dont forget to visit the Japanese version of Disneyland. My mom also told me, we shall call it Expensiveland, that's why I only visit Disneyland if Mom and Dad think I have been so good and nice for the last 4-5 months. Last week, mom took me to a lake, and dad taught me how to row a boat, and I realized it was more fun than the carribean boat in Disneyland! Send my hello to your wife.

Damn vavoom make me feel old, I remember was uncrowded and cheap fun. Not $68 wait in lines endlessly fun. I will admit Pirates and Haunted House are timeless rides though...

I may be going to Disney in the O.C. in 8 weeks. Maybe. It's if I decide to go to a wedding that happens to be there, I then can sneak off there afterwards. If no one else in the family goes to this, then I'll just go to Europe alone.

3) because they have shorter careers.
4) 6
5) less than your brother
6) 66
7) something about having handles for ears?
8) no, not as long as they are missing the shocking machine at the Penny Arcade.

Oh boy, I'm sorry, I know it's rude, but I can't help but giggle. I have been so spoiled by Kings Island. It's not much cheaper, but as far as fun, it wins hands down! (If you're talking about Disneyland and not Disneyworld that is, I haven't been to Disneyworld yet.)

I have to admit though, I'm kind of jealous that you got to spend the day with your brother -alone!- and relive a small part of your childhood. All I have are sisters and they're too busy taking care of their husbands to spend time with me...

(yeah, personal issues here.)

Wow! I went to Disneyland when I was just about 16 with my at the time boyfriend. I remember not getting to see much because we didn't have the whole day. I do know that what I did see, I loved. I can't wait to go back. It's actually my first vacation for next year. My son will be 7 then, and I'd say that's a good age. I guess I'd better start saving!

I went a few years ago and the Pirates of the Caribbean ride was closed!

Did you try the hot dog with the soft-pretzel bun? Extremely yummy.
