If Only...

The winter here has been relatively mild, so I'm told. In my naive opinion, it's still cold as hell. Wait, isn't hell hot? Never mind. In any case, above is a photo of Mujin Harbor in Turks and Caicos. Why they didn't build Fancypants University on a tropical island remains a mystery to me.

Coming from Michigan - almost as grey as the Pacific Northwest with none of the fun trendy stuff - I know that while a tropical beach would be nice, it is amazing how much more people appreciate the sun and a 40* day here than they do in warm places. Haven't you noticed how people will actually smile and talk to each other on a sunny, slightly warmer day? Maybe that is just a Michigan thing though because of our cloud cover. This winter has been mild and it worries me for the farmers, but it is nice for the rest of us.

Welcome back, by the way and the best of luck.

It's not on a beach because nothing would ever get done. People would be way to engrossed in the view.

Beautiful photo. Most of us can only dream to look out at a view like that every morning. And it might take you a few years to adapt to what people there consider warm and cold hahaha.
